NEW SIGNING – Gotham Records signs Hollywood rock band, Icarus Landing

Icarus Landing

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Icarus Landing now resides in Hollywood and has recently completed a run of shows across Southern California including House of Blues Hollywood, The Whisky-a-Go-Go, The Viper Room and The Cat Club to name a few. In addition, they have received extensive radio play including 100.7 WMMS and 92.3 KROCK, as well as Music Highway (North Hollywood, CA), RSDN’s MonsterRock.net (Burbank, CA), Black Squirrel Radio (KSU, Kent, OH) and Dirty Glitter by Brody Ramone (BGSU, Bowling Green, OH).

Earlier this year, they released ‘Call To You’, which saw over 50,000 hits on YouTube in the first two months. The track’s success continues, having reached over 110,000, and those numbers are still growing by the day. The track will feature on the band’s forthcoming album ‘All These Years’, which is set for release in line with a European Tour in the Autumn that will see them visit Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, France and Spain.

Barry Tomes, Managing Director of Gotham Records, said:

“I’m so excited about this signing – I’ve been over in Los Angeles for the past 12 months and there’s a real buzz about Icarus Landing. They’ve got a fantastic sound; alt and indie is fused with heavy rock, resulting in a real genre-defying vibe. Not only is their music great but they are a fantastic and very hard-working group of guys, and I know that this is the start of a long and very successful partnership between Gotham Records and Icarus Landing.”

Alongside this signing, Icarus Landing are preparing for their European Tour and have turned to crowdfunding site Indiegogo to help raise funds. They have already achieved over $2,000 worth of support for everything from air fare and fuel, to accommodation and food. Big things are set to come for the band in 2013; in partnership with Gotham Records they plan to release six more singles, each with accompanying video art. The series of short films tells a bigger story when you string the unique pieces together. They are also planning a UK tour in 2014.
